As part of the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2025, on September 30th, the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Disseny Hub Barcelona will present
ÒH!PERA, newly created micro-operas, an innovative project that rethinks the future of opera.
Organized by the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Regidoria de Cultura i Indústries Creatives of the Barcelona City Council, through the Disseny DHub Barcelona, this initiative connects operatic tradition with contemporary artistic experimentation. ÒH!PERA is a space where young creators challenge formats, narratives and aesthetics, integrating design, music and staging as core elements of the creative process.
This event will highlight how ÒH!PERA has become a model of collaborative and multidisciplinary creation in opera, while also offering a unique opportunity for new generations of creators. It will also show how the initiative serves as a tool to attract new audiences and transform cultural perceptions, while establishing itself as a true space for experimentation in contemporary opera.
Participants:
- Valentí Oviedo, General Manager of the Gran Teatre del Liceu
- Anna Llopart, Artistic Coordinator of ÒH!PERA
- Ariana Fernández, Executive Coordinator of ÒH!PERA
